I started making these wraps during a stretch when I was trying to eat more protein without spending my whole evening in the kitchen.
Chicken, pita, tzatziki, a few fresh veggies. That’s the whole thing.
No complicated technique, no long ingredient list, just real food that actually fills you up.
Let’s be honest about the title for a second.
No single meal literally burns fat while you sit there eating it.
What this meal actually does is give you a solid hit of protein, which helps keep you full longer and supports muscle, and that matters a lot more for your results over time than any one meal ever could.
This one just happens to taste incredible while doing it.
Why This One Works
The chicken gets a bold, smoky seasoning and a hard sear, so it has real flavor on its own.
The tzatziki cools everything down and adds a creamy texture without a heavy sauce. And because it’s wrapped in a warm pita, it feels like a treat even though it’s genuinely a simple, protein forward meal.

What You’ll Need
For the chicken:
- 1.5 pounds boneless chicken breast or thighs, cut into chunks
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon cumin
- Salt and pepper to taste
For the tzatziki:
- 1 cup plain Greek yogurt
- 1/2 cucumber, grated and squeezed dry
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh dill, chopped
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- A small pinch of salt
For the wraps:
- 4 to 6 warm pita breads
- Shredded lettuce
- Sliced tomato or halved cherry tomatoes
- Kalamata olives
- Thinly sliced red onion
How to Make It
Start with the chicken. Toss the chunks in a bowl with olive oil, smoked paprika, garlic powder, oregano, cumin, salt, and pepper. Coat every piece well.
Heat a large pan over medium high heat until it’s really hot. Add the chicken in a single layer. Let it sit for a few minutes without moving it, so you get a good char on the outside.
Flip and cook the other side the same way. Total cook time is usually eight to ten minutes, depending on the size of your chicken pieces.

While the chicken cooks, make the tzatziki. Grate the cucumber and squeeze out as much liquid as possible using a clean towel.
This step matters, skip it and your sauce turns watery. Mix the squeezed cucumber with yogurt, garlic, dill, lemon juice, and salt. Stir well.
Warm your pita bread in a dry pan for about thirty seconds per side, just until it’s soft and a little toasty.
Putting the Wrap Together
Lay a warm pita flat. Add a layer of shredded lettuce first, then a generous scoop of the seared chicken. Top with tomato, olives, and red onion. Finish with a big spoonful of tzatziki right on top. Fold or roll the pita and you’re done.

A Few Tips
If you’re meal prepping, keep the chicken, tzatziki, and pita all stored separately. Assemble the wraps fresh each time so the bread doesn’t get soggy.
You can swap the pita for a low carb tortilla if you want fewer carbs, or skip the bread completely and turn this into a bowl over rice or greens instead.
The chicken and tzatziki both hold up well on their own, no matter how you serve them.
This one is proof that eating more protein doesn’t have to be boring or bland. Bold seasoning, a good sear, and a cooling sauce make all the difference.
Try it and let me know if you go with pita or turn it into a bowl instead.
